If trained correctly and socialised from a young age, neither of these breeds should become dog aggressive. However, in this worst case scenario, both breeds, despite the size difference, could have a chance of winning. The Bullmastiff could use it's bigger size as an advantage and overpower the Staffy. But, Staffordshire Bull Terriers are quick and agile, meaning one clean leap for the Bullmastiff's throat could crush its windpipe. It is more likely, however, that the Bullmastiff would win.
