STUFFED CABBAGE
4 lbs. Ground chuck
1 ½ cups raw rice
1 or 2 eggs
chopped onion
Worcestershire Sauce to taste (optional)
1 tbs.salt & 1 tsp. pepper
large can Tomato Juice
stewed tomatoes or diced tomatoes
METHOD
Boil rice for about 10 minutes, rinse. Mix chuck, rice, chopped onion, salt and pepper; then add one beaten egg, mix. Boil cabbage until leaves are wilted. Put hamburger mixture into leaves and put in cabbage lined roaster and add large can of tomato juice and stewed tomatoes and water to try and cover most of the stuffed cabbages. Put into oven for about 2 hours or until leaves are soft.
When my father saw my first paycheck, he exclaimed, "That's a lot of cabbage!". I would like stuffed cabbage for Sunday's dinner.

Technically and traditionally, you cannot, as sauerkraut is fermented cabbage. You can make a sauerkraut like substance by shredding white cabbage and soaking it in vinegar, by that would be more apply named coleslaw.
