you want to crank the adjustment bolt out to lower. turning it to the right will put more torque on the torsion bar, thus raising the front. righty-tighty/lefty-loosey.

Instead of using coil springs on the front suspension torsion bars are used from the lower control arms to the frame ( my 1995 Ford Explorer 4x4 has torsion bars , my dads 73 Dodge Coronet had torsion bars ) If you look at a lower front suspension that has torsion bars you will see the torsion bars going from the lower control arms rearward

Why is the height of vehicles kept as low as possible?

As you increase a vehicle's height three things happenThere is a danger the the top will hit low objects (bridges, tree branches etc)The centre of gravity for the vehicle rises too, which means that the vehicle may tip over when going round a bend fast. The vehicle will become susceptible to cross winds that may blow the vehicle over.------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ The height of the vehicle is kept low as possible to lower their centre of gravity and help to increase its stability

How to adjust ride height on 00 gmc jimmy?

For the front end you can adjust the torsion bars by tightening or loosening the torsion bar key adjustment screws. It should be an 18mm hex head bolt. There should be a few inches of play overall; any further adjustment would require changing out the spindles or lowering blocks. l Since the rear end is traditional leaf springs there are a lot of accessories you can order to raise or lower it.

How do you lower the rear of a Peugeot 206?

as the rear is torsion it is not straight forward. the torsion bars have to be removed one side at a time, with the torsion bar out simply adjust hub the required amount and replace torsion bar. then do the other side. this can be hard as the bars can be difficult to remove. best left to professional should cost between £60-£100
