In general , NO
Windows is the operating system on a Microsoft computer or an Apple computer running windows drivers. Without windows your computer would not work.
The guy who said "It has to be a MAC computer or else it would not work." was incorrect. When it says "WIN" on the box, that means "Any Computer With WINdows Installed". Nowadays, this usually refers to Windows XP, Windows 2000, or Windows Vista, but in a lot of cases, Windows 98 or Windows ME will work just as well.
No. It has to be more recent, at least Windows 2000.
yes a printer will work on all versions of windows and macs
It does work with Windows 7 ! I've been using Windows 7 for a while now, and Answers certainly works on my computer (otherwise I would not have been able to read your question - or answer it !)
No, Wii Speak does not work on the computer. Windows will recognize it, but there is no driver for it to work.
Depends very much on how you use the Operating System. If you use the computer for gaming then Windows 8 is the best for it. If you use it for general business work then Linux should be looked into but Windows 7 is the best of the Windows systems for general business work. If you work in IT or Computer Engineering then Gentoo, FreeBSD or UNIX would be the best.
yes
Compatibility refers to equipment and software that can be used together. You would not want to have Windows XP on your computer and then buy a program that requires Windows Vista or higher. Likewise, if you intend to run a certain operating system, you would not want to buy a computer which does not support the operating system or the drivers needed for the operating system to work properly. If you wanted to run Windows 10, you would not want to buy a used computer that was made when Windows 98 was popular.
Yes, RuneScape will work on almost (if not all) "modern browsers", especially Windows operating system computers. Basically, as long as your computer can install Java, then you should be able to play RuneScape on your computer. Most graphics cards should be able to run RuneScape, and because RuneScape is a browser-based game, it shouldn't take as much space on your computer.
Do you mean the games say "compatible with windows 98?" and you have Windows XP? Games are backwards compatible. Meaning, if the games say "windows 98", windows 95 is ok (anything before windows 98 will work). But it is not forward compatible--Windows 2000, windows xp, etc. will not work. does this answer?
It depends on your computer itself. If your computer has enough RAM, the required graphics, etc. It does work on a Windows 7 though. On their site, I could not find the system requirements.
