no it wont as long as your parking break is not on . usually the light comes on to indicate that you are running low on break fluid
It should not need reseting unless somthing is wrong. If it is the parking break light, reapply the parking break fully to the florr or handle and then quickly release or put back in full back postion. Somtimes it get stuck and cause a light If its the break system you may have a sensor problem or there may be somthing worng with the breaks.
No , the brake light should come on when you press the parking brake pedal , but the ABS light should not come on
Is it the parking brake light or the ABS light? is it red light or amber?
it may be because there is another problem in the brake system
faulty sensors
be more specific the break sensor?parking break light?
parking break is on or low break fluid
Check the position sensor switch that detects when the parking brake is engaged. It might just be adjusted wrong.another optionCheck the level of the brake fluid. If there is a sensor on the reservoir cap it could be low enough to be triggering the sensor. Another Answer:I own a 93 jetta GL and my parking break light would not turn off, there is a relay switch on the fuse-box that turns the headlights off when I pull the parking break. I pulled it out and my parking break light turned off, and still turns on when I pull the parking break ... weird ... you can hear the relay engage when you pull the parking break so if you follow the noise you will know which relay to pull. Fortunately the relay is easy to reinstall if this is not the problem. I believe the 1st answer is also correct, there is a switch that is depressed on the parking break itself, might have to pull off the cover but it will be easy to find.
check break fluid level
have you checked the sensor for the break fluid You can also check your parking brake, make sure it is all the way up and check the switch on it also for proper adjustment.
The 'P' symbol in a car sybolizes a warning that your parking break is, or is not on. Depends on your model
