Fuel pump pressure is completely separate from spark. YES crank sensor can most defiantly cause no spark if it go's bad. But what usually go's out first on this Kia's are timing belts. The teeth on the timing belt are really common to grind off or fall off causing to skip timing. Also this teeth that fall off due to being an old timing belt usually fall down to where the crank sensor is and get in between the magnetic part of the sensor causing ignition spark failure. If the timing belt does not get change when is due usually around 60,000 then that's what happens or it breaks off completely and that's not good because this engines are interference engines. So if you have no spark check the timing belt to make sure still in good shape, of course after checking your coils and wires and making sure your getting power to your coils that is. Well I hope this can help you guys out there that due your own work!
