If you are talking about getting married in Canada, then no paperwork is needed. In the US a fiancee's visa, which takes four months to get, is required.

Answernope.. you can get married but you won't be able to work. I AM LEGALLY married to an American man and i am Canadian. I got married to him on a visit last fall... right now, however we are living apart dealing with some of our own issues as to where to live. You can be married but you may not be able to work. As a Canadian you can visit up to 181 days without losing your medical plan back in Canada. Think about all the old ladies that live in Canada during the summer, and Florida in the winter....... they can visit, they just can't work legally.

In proper english, yes. If you're really a Canadian citizen then you'd have a Canadian passport. The only reason you wouldn't be allowed to leave Canada is to go to certain 3rd world or war-torn countries. The American government can't stop you from leaving Canada if you're a Canadian citizen.

There is no limit. A Canadian Citizen is a Citizen for life unless they deliberately give up their Citizenship by filling out a form. In fact, if you happened to be born of Canadian parents, you could be a Canadian Citizen your whole life without ever setting foot in the country!

Nash was born in South Africa, but when he was 6 months he moved to Canada. So he is a Canadian citizen, not an American citizen.

The answer is no. You still have to apply for Canadian Citizenship. The process does take a while. My friend who married a Canadian in Canada had to wait a year to officially live there.No.

No special proceedures are required. If your child is born in Canada it will be a Canadian citizen by birth regardless of the nationality of its parents.

The child is a citizen of both countries, since it was born on Canadian soil, but from an American citizen.
