Protein Shakes as their name suggest are supplements which provide protein to growing muscles in your body. To gain mass you would need the extra protein but be mindful that protein consumed would eventually turn into fat if it is not utilized by your body. As a general rule for bodybuilders world wide, you can never think of gaining muscle or mass and weight loss at the same time..... But i guess if you work your muscles and do enough cardio, you could ensure muscle gain and loss of fat.
So if you are an individual with some extra flab, work out to first lose the flab and then when its gone, take the help of protein shake to fuel the growth of your muscles. I know I know, you must be thinking it would take twice as long, but believe me the fat lost shall stay off longer and your muscles shall look awesome.
good luck!
Depending on what you eat you could. However you should have a light protein snack after a workout such a protein shake or apple with peanut butter to replenish some nutrients that your body used while you were working out and to help heal the muscles after a workout.
You should eat a banana and a protein shake after workout after refreshing and having a shower.
Protein is not prohibited. If you are overweight, you should lose weight.
both 30 mins before and 30 mins after. but if you only want to once, 30 mins after. drink protein if you want ur muscles to be bigger
I would say you should go to a gym at least twice a week and do an hours worth with a coach. A lot of it is mental when working out. With this idea you will have feedback and encouragement.
No, you should eat protein before and after, but drink a lot of water during.
When working out you should increase the weight you use gradually as you progress with your workout.
Drink a protein shake.
Diet is a huge part of workout. A person should have 1.5 grams of protein per pound per day. A 200lb guy should eat 300 grams of protein a day. Also, it should be split up between six meals. Lots of working out means you need lots of calories.
The same as what a man should eat after a workout. Basic Protein. It helps the development of muscles. :]
Workout for a few days every day for a week then rest on weekend.
You don't need to, and in fact you very likely will not notice a difference. But it is a good source of protein and it is important to have energy (which would of course also come from carbs) before your workout. It would probably better to have the whey immediately afterwards however.
