Yes they will fix it if its there fault if is your fault you pay for it.
just bought a new part from dealer for 104.00 the part came with all necessary parts
I would give the selling dealer the opportunity to repair the vehicle before doing anything else. They just might do it under warranty. Does no hurt to ask.
If you have an AutoZone nearby, they will clear it for free.
Do you mean to reset the computer? If it did not work and the check engine light came back on then the problem that caused the ECU to set the check engine light has not been repaired. Take it back to the dealer.
they would have to cheek them
If you bought the car "as is" with no warrantee, you have no legal recourse.
It totally depends on the wording of the sales contract. If anywhere on the vehicle window sticker or on the contract it states "As-Is" then you've bought the vehicle and the problems. Most reputable dealers offer some kind of limited warranty with the vehicle, and will repair the problem(s), but you will have to check your sales papers and/or talk to the dealer. Your only other option would be to take them to small calims court.
This vehicle should still be under warranty. Have it towed to the dealer for repair.
With the Friendly Ford Dealer and or the previous owner of the car, found mine by looking at the Service manual of the car when original owner wrote his phone number and I was lucky in calling him, explained my problem and he courteously took the plastic card that came with the car and took it to the dealer that bought his car from where I bought it and solved my problem
This was happening to me and the check engine light came on as well. I had to have my catalytic converters replaced, there are two on the 2002 Millenia S.It cost about $2,000.00 at the dealer and parts had to be ordered. Take it to a dealer. My cruze is less than a week old and the engine light came on. They are now replacing 3 diff parts. O2 sensor, wire harness and something else.
I had the engine light come on in my patrol due to overheating and I had to take the vehicle to the dealer's service centre where they plugged it into the computer which advised why the light came on and then reset it. There was a minimal service fee for this. I assume it will be the same process for the Mazda.
