Hi. That surprised me the first time i disconnected the battery in my 1999 c230 k. the answer is: You have to reset the power window/moon roof control circuit. you just have to point the keyfob infrared lens to the small "window" at the front driver door handle and depress and hold the open button. All windows plus moon roof will open at the same time and the system will be reset. If you want to close them again just depress and hold the close button on the keyfob. Good luck.
