Did the dodo or other birdlike running problem start when this work was done? If so, suspect that whoever put the timing belt on got one more more cam gears misaligned. If so, the timing belt will have to be taken off and put on in the correct alignment. It may also be necessary to check ignition timing after replacement of timing belt.
On Google images, search "diagram of pulley system for 1998 Isuzu trooper"

You will a lot of special tools as well.. Remove the A/C compressor Remove the A/C clutch disc and hub retaining bolt. Remove the bolt. Remove the A/C clutch disc and hub spacers. Remove the pulley snap ring. Remove the A/C clutch pulley. Remove the A/C clutch field coil.
Turn the fan clutch counterclockwise and use a pulley wrench to keep the pulley from turning. An air hammer will make it easier to get off.
Yes it takes a 36mm wrench and a holder for the pulley to remove the fan clutch,
You just attach it and use it on the fan clutch.
THey are a pulley.
If you are referring to the clutch fan, this may help. I recently changed out the water pump on my 04 2500 HD and removed the clutch fan by bracing the pulley and then loosening the clutch nut from the pulley. To brace the pulley, I used a small drill bit that fit inside one of the 4 holes located on the top of the pulley. The water pump on my 6.0 liter has fins that taper out from where the pulley is connected, I used a pair of vice grips to secure the drill bit to one of the fins to keep the pulley secure while I loosened the nut away from the pulley. Now I am sure there is a special tool to accomplish this task but I had to use this tactic as I didn't have this tool. Also note, I did this with the water pump removed from the engine.
