You would not smell the refrigerant as it is odorless, you may however smell the oil that circulates along with it. But if the leak was that large where you could smell it, it most likely would have been one single event NOT a continuous one and the unit would be totally out of gas and non functional.
pluged filter, dirty coils,
the coils are directly on top of each spark plug. they are round and have an electrical plug coming out of the side.
It won't be cooling very lomg. Better yet check and clena the all the coils,
Smoke coming out of the house air conditioner and heater unit is likely coming from dust that gets on the heater coils throughout the year. It is a good idea to have those coils and the rest of the unit serviced before the winter and summer months.
1st you would need to locate the leak. This is normally done by a trained tech by adding a leak detection dye into system then a UV light is used to find the leak. If the leak is in the copper line set then it can be repaired. If the leak is in the evaporator or condensing coils the coil would need to be replaced.
It's either not cooling enough or the drain is clogged. the water that is leaking from your a/c unit is humidity that has condensed on your evap coils. As air is passed thru the evap coils, heat and humidity are removed from said air.
On top of the engine..Two black blocks that have wires coming out of it
The DRAIN hose coming out of the firewall is the A/C condenser drain line. It is a drain hose and is draining condensation from the A/C coils, which is normal with the A/C on. You may also be seeing a drain line for the window cowl area. Now if you are talking about either the inlet or outlet hoses going to the heater, then you more than likely just need to replace them.
The most common cause that will trigger the P1320 code is the ignition coils. One or more ignition coils may have failed.
Ignition coils can go bad from shorts or from age. A coil wire that is leaking can cause a partial short to ground and ruin a coil. Coils can go bad simply with age as well, as heating and cooling over time just wears them out.
The heater coil is leaking. Water from the cooling system runs through the heater coil to heat the passenger compartment. Antifreeze is corrosive, some heater coils are thin.
If the mini fridge smells like gas, turn it off and clean it with an oxygen based cleaner. Lysol brand cleaner with Oxy and Peroxide is a good cleaner for this. Plug the fridge back in. If a gas smell is still coming from the fridge, turn it off immediately. This could be a sign that freon is leaking somewhere inside the coils. Have it serviced or dispose of it properly.
