I have the same problem, havn't fixed it yet, but from what I know, all you have to do is replace the thermostat, only like 10 bucks
Check the A/C fuse, that's what happened on my '85.
check fuses and for vac leak at unit and vac pump
with a push button directly under the defroster control
If you are refering to control of the blower moter, defroster, heater controls, everything related to climate control. It is in the top portion of the central trim section that surrounds the radio, its called the ECM.
ur electronic climate control (ecc) programmer is faulty need to change it and the vaccum harness to the upgraded one. by the way its on the passenger side under the dash.
It is a button with a graphic of a rectangle with 3 squiggly vertical lines that cross the bottom line of that rectangle. It is located in the center section of the climate control area, which is below the radio, between the fan speed knob abd the diverter knob. If you have automatic climate control, it is above and to the right of the digital display. If you do not have automatic climte control, it is below and to the right of the temperature knob.
Check your servos.
You don't, this vehicle has (ATC) automatic temperature control and by doing this you will burn up either the controller or the head assembly......
Red and black wires are +12- volt, jumper the gray wire to ground to test.
