Can a chiropracter provide any kind of physical therapy?

Chiropractors offer the best treatment for any pain or discomfort-related problem in your body. They do not offer any physical therapy; however, their treatment approach is the same as the physical therapist. The main expertise of chiropractors is the alignment of bones and joints. Also, they offer various other treatments: Massage therapy, Acupuncture, pilates & yoga. Apart from that, you can go to the chiropractor after the sport and accident injuries too. Otherwise, if you want to get any type of physical therapy, then getting in touch with the physical therapist will be a great option. They can help fix the movement of your body and increase the mobility and function of the body.

Why would an audiologist refer a patient to a physical therapist?

An Audiologist has the ability to diagnose and treat many auditory problems. However, further recovery to restore abilities/ treat discomfort in the ear, one may see a physical therapist. A Physical Therapist specializes in recovery as opposed to an Audiologist which will only treat symptoms. It is very common for doctors to refer to other specialist for additional treatment. ie. You need a cochlear implant. An Audiologist will diagnose the problem and refer you to a surgeon. After surgery you may see your Audiologist again to map out progress. Further physical discomfort may require therapy which will have you seeing a Physical Therapist.

Personal qualities and abilities need for success as a physical therapist?

To become a physical therapist, you would complete a bachelor's degree program at a university. To be a physical therapy tech, you could find a community college or technical school that would provide certification. The university degree is better. I know of 3 types of PT jobs: A physical therapist (PT), a physical therapist assistant (PTA), and a physical therapy technician. To be a PT, you would need to graduate with a bachelor's from a university and then attend physical therapy school which ranges from 2-3 years. A PTA is an associates degree (I believe). Both require you to obtain a license to practice by passing a licensure exam. I am a physical therapy tech, and was trained on the job. There are a few full time physical therapy techs at the clinic I work at, but most of us are college students working part time to get experience before applying to physical therapy school.

Why does each vertebrae need to be separated from each other?

Without such separation you will not have mobility of the spine. Some times the adjoining vertebrae fuse and create the problem.

I would seek medical attention first. Anything can be causing your spinal pain and a chiropracter might not be able to fix it while a doctor will be able to locate the problem.
