That sounds like the knock sensor but I don't see that leaking oil. Could the oil be coming from the rear corner of the intake or valve cover or head gasket?
It's above the starter near the oil filter.

It can be the sending unit is leaking or it can be a a leaking oil filter, oil drain plug, rear main seal, valve cover gasket, or any number of other leaks. Inspect the engine and find the source of the leak.
If it is the same as my 1991 Lebaron it is located just above the oil filter. You will have to take the oil filter off and the starter off to get to it.
First make sure it is not the filter that is leaking. Remove the old filter and install a new filter that is the correct one. Apply oil to the gasket and tighten exactly 3/4 turn after it makes contact with the mounting surface. Tighten any moreor any less and it may leak. If that is not the problem, then I would suspect the valve cover gasket may be leaking. Another possiblility is a leaking oil pressure sending unit.
Which filter housing? Air filter, oil filter, fuel filter?

I replaced the starter on my 96' Avenger. It is located right beside the oil filter. To remove the starter I had to take off the oil filter and the part connecting the oil filter to the car.
Replace the part it is leaking from.
