I am having the same problem as you and for the most part people say that there must be a leak somewhere. Unfortunately, I cannot find any leak. I figure if it was too small of a leak the pressure would slowly deplete. And on the contrary, if it is a large leak it would be noticeable. I'm not really sure if you find out please let me know as well. Sorry I wasn't much of a help. nathanr1988@Yahoo.com

How do you know if your hydraulic clutch on your 1996 Sunfire is going out.?

If you clutch and it either goes all the way in with no pressure there is a leak in your slave cylinder or the higher you have to clutch means your clutch is sliping and has to be replaced. If your doing a lot of power shifting i would suggest you get a racing clutch instead.

How do you know when the clutch master cylinder is gone in a 1995 escort?

Where does the little rod go in a 1990 Mitsubishi pickup just replaced the clutch and forgot the rod?

If you just replaced the clutch and pressure plate, the only "little rod" I can think of is in the slave cylinder. It is what pushes the fork in to disengage the clutch. If you did not put it in, you should not be able to shift or engage the clutch. The slave cylinder should blow out the seal when you step on the clutch pedal. The rod is about the diameter of a pencil and 2 inches long more or less?

Just replaced a tranny. Is it normal for the shift lever to be able to shift into all gears without the clutch being depressed. Something to do with the clutch slave cylinder pressure from bleeding?

Theres no pressure in the transmission yet. Once you start the engine it will be normal
