Try changing your shampoo and conditioner. For me this makes a big difference. Shampoo isn't so much the cause for me, but it can be. Your conditioner can carry heavy oils and clog your follicles causing breakouts - even the expensive ones.
A good idea is to only use conditioner on the ends of your hair. This, as a bonus, will also make your hair more bouncy, viuchuent and silky soft.
