How about a pea. Easy to carry to the interview. Roll it around and say it's well-rounded (haha - a little humor never hurt). Versatile - can be used in many ways (raw, cooked, pureed for soup). Popular in many environments (fresh, canned or frozen). Put to use in many different dishes (jobs). If prepared properly (dried) it will last a long time. It's pretty sweet. And at the end, I would take out a second pea, sit them both side by side and say: This one is me, this one is Blacks...we're like two peas in a pod!
