You have water in your passenger side floor board only when it rains you have a 1998 dodge Dakota sport ext cab does anyone know what could be causing this to happen?

I also have a a 98 Dodge Dakota sport that the passenger side floor board and carpet was getting soaked with water...but only when it rained. I removed the seats and carpet hosed it down with the garden hose and found a leak at the passenger rear side window...vent window, however it was only visible after removing the side trim below the window. After taking care of that leak the problem persisted. I finally located the leak on the cab wall about 8-10 inches below the window and almost directly behind the passenger seat. It looks like it is coming in at a cab weld...not sure yet but definitely the source of the problem....going to try spray rubber sealant called flex seal sold at rural king
