You just had your Lexus 45lx worked on and it seems fine except when you step on the brake the dashboard lights come on with a slight humming sound?

There can be a slight humming noise while driving a neon. This sound could come purely from the engine to indicate that it is running.

Tilt your steering wheel all the way down. Put parking brake on. Place truck into 1st and the dash will pop off with just a slight pull and maybe a little prying with a screw driver being careful not to do any damage to dash or item behind the dash.

this happened with me when my astra went to get head light bulbs changed car also lost power, no electrics worked. I got mine put on a diagnostic and it was traced to an electrical fualt that can only be picked up on diagnostics. My best advice to you is to go to your local garage and get them to run a check on it with diagnostics it might just be a slight fault.

i have had the same problem in the past. this is caused by a dirty burner or incorrectly adjusted manifold. the slight poof when it lights is normal when the unit lights. good luck.
