Drain the engine oil, change the oil filter and put in the required amount of oil, run engine, shut engine off, then make a mark on the dipstick indicating the full line for future reference.

no, there is no dipstick for the transmission on the 2009 Dodge Journey. You need to got it looked at by a service center.
I'm pretty sure he fine for smoking weed is 400 $ don't know for sure don't think i looked it up either.
The dipstick if you are looking at the engine is on the left side of the valve cover approximately halfway form the front and back. It is located where the cover meets the engine block. The yellow plastic grab loop may be broken off, making it hard to identify the dipstick. That was exactly where it was on my 1997 Sidekick and it also had been broken off making it difficult to find. It looked like it was a place to connect for a thermostat or something but no it was the dipstick.
there is no dipstick, only a filler cap on the top of the transmission.i have the same car and was asking the same thing.I haven't looked yet but i think there is an overflow bolt in the top of the trans, fill till it comes out and put the bolt and cap back on

No! The first item I looked up was incorrect with no way to contact them and make them aware of a glaring mistake!
It wasn't very accurate because the farms never looked like the one's in the ads. However, the mining and forests industries were doing very well.
If you are talking about gas treatment poured in the gas tank, and you only poured in one can, the answer is no. White smoke from the tail-pipe is normally an indication of a blown head gasket. Stop driving the car until you have this looked at.
