I have had this problem, sometimes the car moves or wait for a while and it will work. Sometimes there is no throttle response at all. The check engine light is not on, or if it is on you have a certain amount of " starts " on the car before the problem reappears, this apparently is called Limp Home Mode, eventually it will not work at all...you can solve temp. by clearing codes on a battery disconnect but will have no data for shop tech. Long story short its the small computer device in the throttle body which does not come separately from the throttle body...only 1 hour labour and cost 1100.00 cdn at the dealer.
Hope this was helpful.
I own a 2003 Nissan Maxima Se 6spd. To put the car in reverse, you need to pull up a ring underneath the shift ball up which unblocks reverse gear. Then move the shifter all the way to the right and down. It is also the same on a 2002 Maxima Se 6spd. 1 3 5 2 4 6 R
Bad transmission? Bad Clutch?
That means that the bearings of the mechanism have failed. It is not economically practical to repair the tach. You'll need to replace it.
Try to have your Neutral Safety switch checked out or your brake switch, It controls the shifter so you cant put it in gear without pressing the brake
you probaly need a fourth gear, its probaly rounded off,.the teeth are probaly worn way down.
check you parking brake, check transmission fluid level,.......
No you don't need to do either of those but you do need to disconnect the oil sending unit to be able to drop the starter out of the frame.
check the gear at the end of the distrubutor and or check the end of the cam shaft Are the cams moving at all?
truck start shift is hard to move in gear
When your car doesnt move anywhere when its in gear just like any other transmission
No it does not.
the gear you have it in might be neutral.
