You recently got into a slight accident with a 99 vw jetta. the front drivers side headlight is somewhat hanging outside on one side. How do you put the headlight back in the car correctly?

More than likely you need to repair the headlight bucket section of the nosecone (either side of the grill) and /or replace the headlight assembly.
It will take some fiberglass mesh and some resin and hardener .

Each headlight should have two (or three?) plastic clips that look somewhat like a six inch ruler holding it in. Pull the clips upward to release, then slide the headlamp assy. forward.

its usually behind the headlight, its hard to see but if you look behind the headlight or feel behind it you should feel a + screw or a 10cm bolt. i have a 03 and i can get to the driver side somewhat easy but for the passenger i have to remove my bumper and then take off the headlights to get to them.
