I have a 2000 elantra i changed my timing belt at 82000 miles i put an aftermarket belt in my car , who told you you should've put a factory belt in, a Hyundai dealer? my car now has 115000 miles on it, don't't let it keep you up at night generic pills are just as good as the name brand get the point

AnswerHyundai wants to sell THEIR auto parts to make more money for Hyundai. Of COURSE they'll tell you to buy their parts, and they'll spread rumors about how much harm it will do to your car if you don't. In reality, you're better off trusting the people who make a lot of belts. Goodyear makes fine products. Don't loose any sleep over it.
