the sound the motor makes is determined by the type of mufflers and the air flow of the motor. There some missing information in the question. went from single to dual. catalytic converters still in line. Air flow is the amount/speed of air throught the intake verses the amount and speed of the exhaust. when you make exhaust changes in intake should also be looked at. One other thing to take not of is that the 305 engines were produced in both Canada and the us. You can tell the difference on the VIN number. H, and C, in the vin. I think but I am not sure which is which, but I think the H is the Canadian motor. This is a good thing, better air flow. the pollution standards are different in Canada. The The flowmasters, depending on the model can take some type for them to "burn in" to open up the exhaust. If you want to know if the changes are making any other difference, check your gas mileage. The sound you get is also determined by the size of the pipes. hope it helps. duboff
Depends on how much money you want to spend. I installed a set of Headman Headers on my 1970 SS 454 w/ series 40 flowmasters. (sounds Great..)
There are many places where one can get a performance exhaust system installed. One can get a performance exhaust system installed at places such as Dynomax.
The best way to fix an exhaust leak on a 1994 Caprice is to install new exhaust pipes where the leak is located. Exhaust leaks are dangerous and can cause carbon monoxide to build up in the passenger area of the vehicle.
Flowmasters sound GREAT on anything powered by a V8! (this is my personal opinion, but I plan on getting Flowmasters on my '96 Taurus SHO).They are a good affordable brand but if you want good power and awesome sound go with corsa exhaust they sound amazing and will add 39% hp but one flaw they are only v8 exhaust on up and will run you $900-$1200 just for the exhaust bc they are all chrome
If you're so inclined, yes
exhaust muffler
yes it does
an exhaust muffler an exhaust muffler
Yes, you can. But its pointless because a glssspack is a muffler. Just have a glasspack installed. Or a full catback glasspack exhaust system installed
Yes, if your car does not have a turbocharger installed to it.
i had the same problem with my flowmasters on my 71 chevy. its the baffling inside the muffler. a few good hits with a hammer will fix it.
it depends on if your getting it done professionally or if your doing it yourself. also depends on what kind of system your getting and if your getting just new mufflers or if your getting a whole new exhaust. i bought a cherry bomb glasspack for my truck and installed it myself. only 30 bucks. what you can also do is go to a muffler shop and get a quote.
