If you found this in your cat's feces or vomit, then it probably is a worm. The worms I have seen fit the description of small and white. It was most likely dead by the time you found it. The best thing to do in this situation would be to take your cat to the veterinarian and describe to him/her what you saw. The veterinarian will be able to diagnose for sure if your cat has worms, and what type. He/she can then prescribe a treatment. In the meantime, make sure your cat is getting plenty of food and water. Since worms live in your cat's stomach, this can help the cat to pass them and ensure it does not become dehydrated.
