Go to your local petstore and look for flea spray for furniture and carpet. Also look for new flea meds. if Frontline isn't working for you.
Spray the floors, carpet, and uphostery with a LONG lasting pesticide. Wash all linens.
Give your dog a flee bath, or change the brand of flea collar.
If you have bathed the dog with a flea treating shampoo and then applied frontline flea protecting to the dogs once dried and they are still comming in covered with fleas i would say that there is a serious flea problem/infestation in the area that you are allowing the dogs to be in.
The minimum would be two weeks. I had the same problem, and if you're cat still has fleas, try Frontline Plus. It worked SO well for me, but the regular Frontline didn't do anything! You can comb your cat with a flea comb soon after you've applied Frontline. Place the cat on a light-coloured towel or sheet, or even place him in the bath and comb him thoroughly. This will take the adults out of the fur and will be visible on the towel or in the bath. Be sure to do this once or even twice a day to remove as many adult fleas as possible. Also, wash any furniture and carpets regularly as flea larvae and eggs can live in these for months.
i would ask a vet.
It could be the bites just healing. I've been bitten by fleas before, and they itch when they heal. Also, if you've recently gotton rid of the fleas, there might be a few still hanging around. It takes a little while for them to go away completely, or as close to completely as it will get. A good thing to do is to use something like frontline for a while though, just as a precaution. they have been frontlined u can only treat them once a mth and i treated the house with r.i.p fleas from the vet Then I would just wait a little while. It could be bites healing up. If it continues for a long period of time (about a month) then there still might be fleas hanging around.
Augustus de Morgan did. A very similar poem was also written in the 1700s by Jonathan Swift. A. de Morgan's version can be viewed as a modernization. de Morgan: Great fleas have little fleas upon their backs to bite 'em, And little fleas have lesser fleas, and so ad infinitum. And the great fleas themselves, in turn, have greater fleas to go on; While these again have greater still, and greater still, and so on. Swift: So, naturalists observe, a flea Has smaller fleas that on him prey; And these have smaller still to bite 'em; And so proceed ad infinitum.
Frontline for Dogs is not dangerous to cats (or Frontline for Cats to dogs). They are simply different doses of the same active ingredients (because of the species differences). Frontline for Dogs will still work on cats - but not at the same efficiency (towards the end of the month) as Frontline for Cats. Therefore you should always use the correct product for the species.
Answer 3Spot-On Pesticides such as Frontline, Zodiac, Defend, Bio Spot, Advantix, Adams and Advantage trigger adverse reactions in dogs and cats, shorten life spans, cause terminal illness, and premature death. Chemicals injected into your pets blood stream compromise with their vital organs, including the liver, kidney and thyroid. Recent research suggests that the toxic effects lead to a 25% reduction in life expectancy in those animals treated, and inevitably to a painful and premature death. Pets treated with such toxins also experience nausea, nervous disorders, sleeplessness, flaky skin, scabs and other uncomfortable effects created by a compromised immune system.Veterinary Edit:Spot on Pesticides ACTUALLY spread throughout the sebaceous glands on the skin so that they cover the pet fully, there is NO for the medication to get into the pets blood stream. The safest products out there to use are actually Frontline, Advantix, and Vector. Frontline even did a study on the potency of the active ingredient in their product and found that a small dog 6-12 lbs could consume the contents of ten 88-132 lbs tubes and still be perfectly fine with minor diarrhea. The problem with fleas is that they lay 20,000 eggs per day per flea, so if you see 1-2 fleas, in a few weeks you will have 20,000 - 40,000 fleas.
They are fictitious animals so they would not catch any fleas
Frontline plus can be safely used every2-3 weeks if you have a flea problem. make sure that if you are going to bathe your pet you do so either 2 days before or after application. make sure to apply it directly to skin. Frontline will kill all fleas that get on your pet. if you are seeing a lot of fleas still after applying you need to treat environment.
Frontline should be applied once a month throughout the entire year (as eggs can stay dormant for up to 6mths). Once applied, Frontline will kill all existing adults within 24hrs and prevent any eggs laid for becoming viable. However, fleas can still jump onto your pet from the environment. They will die quickly, but it means you may see them on your pet. Pets need a very high amount of Frontline (about 20 doses for a cat and over 50 for a dog) before you see any toxic effects - however the normal recommended dose should be more than adequate provided you are using the correct species-specific and weight-specific product (and applying it correctly).
