Timing belts should be replaced about every 40,000 miles or so more often under extreme conditions, they can and WILL fail with no more then 20,000 miles on them. With many newer motors they are zero clearance which means if the belt goes while motor is running it will bend valves , that will be adding 500 to 1500 dollars to a TIMING belt job
$4 to $5 for Toyota o-ring. Don't use after-market. 1 hour labor. Go to dealership because they will warranty it for 12 months. It may leak again after 6 - 10 months. If u buy the Toyota part and give to your mechanic, u will get no warranty.
Master mechanic are guaranteed for 3 months.
Same problem turned out to be a hair line fracture to the head!
