I purchased the exact vehicle and it also would crank and not start. It is probably a fuel injected engine. The previous owner had already replaced the electric fuel pump. I replaced both relays located under a plastic thing screwed to the passenger's side in the engine compartment.(I believe they are for ignition and electric fuel pump) There will be bundles of wired which you will see plegged-into the relays from the bottom. The relays are a little hard to release from the plastic thing bolted to the fender, so it may help you to see if you unbolt the relay holder from the fender and look inside. - Fellow van owner.
