I had same problem with same truck. Turn ignition key 1 click. Just 1 click from off. YOu can then shift into neutral. The start car and you can drive normally. Make sure foot on brake when shift into drive!

Where do you find the day light running module on a 1999 Chevy Suburban?
My 1999 Suburban 1500 LT has the DRL Module in a gray plastic case with a flip lid access to the PCB inside located under the dash to the left of the steering column. Open the lid to the plastic case, grab the PCB edge with pliers and wiggle free. I still haven't located the DRL diode though... Anyone?

the switch that tells the clutch that it is all the way in might be bad. i have a 89 with the same switch but didnt know what it was for until i seen ur post and i went and tried it and it worked on mine but try and replace the swith that goes to the clutch pedal and see if that helps any

Are spark plugs old? I would recheck the gap and type you have in the motor. If the plugs have a lot of miles on them and are worn, that could cause this problem. Mark
