Check battery and starter.
Normally loose tappets will cause a ticking sound in the engine. Depending on if you have mechanical or hydraulic tappets you may need to have them replaced or simply adjusted.

Same problem... ticking eventually goes away and it starts. Need a new computer.
I believe they are the same fronts. Measure the fenders to be sure.

if ticking noise is in engine, u most likely have a worn hydraulic lifter. check oil for correct volume and viscocity
If the vehicle has over 100,000 miles on it, it may need a new timing belt and pulleys replaced. This may cause the engine to tick as it is moving out of timing.
What year in my 95 I had to install new flashers under the dash board. They look just like plugs and they just plug in. You will hear a ticking sound and know you did it right.

Remove the inside door panel of your 1997 Chevy Lumina. Remove the linkage to the window crank. Remove the window crank retaining bolts. Reverse the process to install the new window crank.
