Your gas float has a crack in it gas is getting into the float and it weights down the float so the computer thinks your tank is low on fuel. think of your gas float like float in the toilet bowl....if the float in the toilet bowl has a crack in it. it will stay at the bottom of the tank..same thing with your gas float..itstays at the bottom of the gas tank. Chevy Dealer has the float for $155.Answer

theres water in fuel filter. theres a drain plug at bottom
The fuel gauge either wobbles badly or doesn't read at all.

Stevens Model 77C comes in 16 Gauge . Made in the 60 -70s
Yes ,theres like vibe gauge never go down
i think theres no age limit, but if there is, it would probably be...i dont know, maybe 15?
Means you are over heating.
The fuel gauge sending unit in the fuel tank is probably the problem.
1 inch and 1/16
If you problem is that the gauge shows oil pressure with the engine off, you have a gauge or sending unit failure.
Your check gauge light comes on if : your coolant temperature guage shows the temperature is high your oil pressure gauge shows the oil pressure is low or your fuel gauge shows the fuel tank is near empty
because the fan cools the engine...
If your engine light comes on and your temp gauge is lower then normal. listen for cooling fans. if they are also running chances are you need a new thermostat
after you streach up to 00 the rest of the gauge sizes go to fractions and not regular numbers like 16g or 4g
look on the underside of the hood ,theres emissions labels, one has the spark plug gap,i think its .0045
In my car, DTE is Distance To Empty. When that comes on it is telling me that I need fuel. If there is fuel in the tank (full), and it comes on then it could be a bad sensor or a faulty fuel gauge.
The name comes from the German groß (meaning "big"). Traditionally, G scale is the use of 45 mm (1.772 in) gauge track, as used for standard gauge (Gauge 1) models, for modelling 1,000 mm (3 ft 3 3⁄8 in) narrow gauge railways, using the correct scale of 1:22.5. Metre gauge is the most common narrow gauge in Europe, where it is known as IIm.
This light comes on if your temp gauge goes to HOT or your oil pressure drops to zero. Its a warning for you to look at the gauges and see whats wrong.
Is it low on Gas or Deisel? if it is that will trip the check gauge light. Or if you ever run the fuel low. It needs time to reset it self.
Definitely! I had this problem diagnosed and found that the gas gauge is fine, but the internal float sticks and this is a common problem. Obviously the "Check Engine Soon" comes on because of this and the gas gauge is almost always incorrect.
