Your 99 silverado starts jerking or missing when the shift light comes on but accelerate or shift gears and it quits and in 5th gear if i let off the gas just a little it starts the same thing.?

If a 1999 Silverado starts jerking or missing when the vehicle is shifting, it could be the speed sensor, the oxygen sensor, or the shift solenoid. There are two oxygen sensors on this vehicle. There is one before the catalytic converter and one after. Also check the timing belt for signs of wear.
