Don't know how old this question is but...
The answer to this is simple and you're not gonna like the answer. The trans needs overhauling badly. the clutch packs wear and cause jamming which causes it to drive in neutral, this also operates reverse and first gear, hence you are unable to move, it often selects two gears at once and this further destroys the box. Suggest you don't "play" with it unless you're an auto expert on AR4's!!
its underneath the car plugged into the gearbox at the side of the nearside drive shaft. mine is blue
a marine gearbox is typically hydraulically operated like an auto car gearbox but will only have one forward and one reverse gear the reduction ratio is dependant on boat size-engine power-engine revs-propellor size and is a calculation best left to professionals
The reversing light switch on a Renault laguna is in much the same as on many other cars. Basically it links to the gearbox or the gear lever, so that when the gear lever is at the reverse position it engages the switch. On the laguna it is on the gearbox near to the left hand end (from the drivers view). You must remove the left front wheel to see it more clearly and possibly the plastic under-engine plastic shield. The switch is normally open, and shorts out when you engage reverse, so you can test it with an ohm meter.
It is usually a externally mounted sensor, sometimes on the linkage, sometimes attached to the gear box. For an exact location you will have to consullt the repair manual for your car
On the gearbox.
Your arctic cat 580 will go in reverse and not forward because the reverse linkage is okay while the forward linkage is not.
u can get your reverse lamp wiring from fuse box there..check it out
Sounds like your gearbox or clutch may have messed up. Check your clutch and gearbox fluids and then secondly check the clutch plates and gearbox.
on top of the gearbox under the clutch lever
this is normally on the gearbox
has a full charge won't go forward or reverse
macroscopic characteristics of both forward and reverse reactions
