If you don't know your code, a dealership service dept should be able to pull it up for you based off of your VIN and the radio serial number. To find the radio serial number you must pull the unit from the dash, and it will be on the top or side. Pulling the radio usually requires special 'keys', but the VW radios in Cabbies can be coaxed out by using jigsaw blades in the slots instead, if you feel comfortable doing this, if not key sets can be found on eBay.

You have to remove the transmission pan. Although it is only a screen and not so much a filter it should not ever have to be replaced unless the transmission has failed completely.
