Your VW cabrio had to get a new transmission you know there is a code you have to type in but the main screen isn't working on your radio what should you do?

If you know your code, input it using preset button 1-4 1 for the first digit, 2 for the second...
If you don't know your code, a dealership service dept should be able to pull it up for you based off of your VIN and the radio serial number. To find the radio serial number you must pull the unit from the dash, and it will be on the top or side. Pulling the radio usually requires special 'keys', but the VW radios in Cabbies can be coaxed out by using jigsaw blades in the slots instead, if you feel comfortable doing this, if not key sets can be found on eBay.

You need to replace the speed sensor. It sends a signal to the speedometer and also sends a signal to the transmission on when it should shift.
