It means you now have REGULAR brakes and no ABS functions. You would have to extract the codes to see what exactly WHY your ABS is not functioning. That extraction process varies from maker to maker as its not standardized.
You could, but the ABS light will stay on.
That means you have a problem with the ABS. Take it to an agency to check it.
There are pages and pages of things that can cause a check engine light. You need to have it checked with a scantool. Then the code can be diagnosed and repaired.
When your truck loses power, the ABS system loses power.
The abs light came on because there is a problem with the abs ( Anti-lock Brake System). The abs light will not reset until the problem has been fixed. Once the abs system is repaired the light will reset itself.
The ABS computer has detected a malfuction and set a code.
The best way to do it is to get the ABS problem repaired.
A problem has been detected with the Anti-lock Brake System It could be a fuse , a sensor , or some other problem As long as the red " BRAKE " light is not on in your dash you still have " normal " brakes * my ABS light came on suddenly and the first ABS fuse that I checked was not installed all the way , when I touched the fuse with my finger I heard a click sound and the ABS light went out - just lucky I guess
this one in fairly simple, on most of the newer cars the speedo is driven off the abs sensor so all you need to do is get new abs sensor/s and that sould fix your problems It is located on the rear differential, facing the front of the truck

You may have damaged an ABS sensor or ABS sensor wiring. Go back and check each wheel.
There are dozens of possible reasons. I'd have to examine your truck's electrics, pedals and electronics to be sure. Take it to a mechanic.
