First, are you low on antifreeze? If you aren't, did you reset the computer? I'm not an expert on Fords but there may be a little fuse box. The blinking one (if there is) is the one you reset.
AnswerIs the system overfull?, Is your gauge working?I had the same problem and I had to replace the head gaskets.
no you need to replace temperature sinding unit
Fault temp gauge.
THATS WHAT THE OVERFLOW/EXPANSION PACK IS FOR. WHEN ANTIFREEZE/COOLANT BEGIN TO BOIL IT EXPANDS AND IT NEEDS A PLACE TO GO. THERE FOR IT GOES IN TO THE OVERFLOW/EXPANSION PACK. THIS PREVENTS DAMAGE TO THE ENGINE/RADIATOR AND OVERHEATING. THERE IS ALSO THE POSIBILITY OF A MALFUNCTIONING SENDING UNIT/GAUGE.
It could be that your heater core is blocked or damaged somehow.
If there is no temperature gauge on a motorcycle, the way to tell if the motorcycle is overheating is by smell or feel. If the bike smells like radiator hot water, it might be overheating. If the legs of the operator start to become so warm that it is uncomfortable to ride, it might be overheating.
1. overheating 2. temperature of engine not coming up in winter 3. poor engine performance 4. low gas milage
Essentially a thermometer -- tells the temperature of the engine. Overheating can ruin you engine, not to mention boil off all your antifreeze. Fortunately, if you shut the engine down soon after if gets too hot, no harm is done. Boiling off the antifreeze cools the engine, so you are not likely to damage it until your radiator boils dry. Obviously, overheating is caused by failure of the cooling system- usually a radiator leak or failure of the water pump. Some cars have a gauge that tells the temperature-- others have only an "idiot light"- something that turns red if the temperature is dangerously high.
If the car is overheating or if the temperature gauge is not coming up to normal operating temperature which is normally half way up the gauge then the thermostat needs replacing. As the water pump should be replaced at the same time as the cam belt every 90,000 miles, you should also replace the thermostat and coolant. If the car is overheating or if the temperature gauge is not coming up to normal operating temperature which is normally half way up the gauge then the thermostat needs replacing. if the temperature goes up on ur gauge but it is not overheating means ur thermostat is no good
It's broken
Engine is overheating, faulty gauge, faulty temp sensor......
