You should definitely take your cat to a vet if this happened. If it was a small piece, it would probably just pass through the cat's digestive tract. However, large pieces of string or ribbon can get tangled in a cat's intestines as it moves through their system. It is extremely dangerous if this happens because it can cut off circulation to parts of the intestine as well as cause parts to become blocked and inflamed.

Then you take the inside ribbon and wrap it aroudn the outside ankle. When it meets with where the outside ribbon is, you tie the two ribbons in a knot and tuck it up under where it can't be seen. Flat shoes, aren't tied they are just slipped on.
