You have to look at the wear on the clutch and look for cracks. If the clutch does go out, the shifter will still move everywhere, but the transmission will not shift.
it may bind when using the clutch, it will squeal when not using the clutch, and stop when you do. You may also feel or hear a constant grinding like noise, this is the bearings going bad.
Clutch wear can be told by noticing no wheel spin when the engine revs are higher than they should be for the speed you are going. Make sure your foot is off the clutch. Thrust bearing wear on the shaft make a sound when you engage or disengage the clutch. You may also feel the oddness in the pedal when the noise occurs.
It's a hydraulic clutch so its self adjusting. If your having problems the clutch itself may be bad or your slave cylinder may be going bad.
Check your hydraulic clutch reservoir to make sure it is full, if it is, it may be bad and need to replace.
no it is hydraulic.dont know what your problem is but check clutch master cylinder and slave cylinder operation,if ok may just be a bad clutch
Clutch bearing may be going out on kompressor.
You may have a hydrolic clutch. One that takes fluid to make it work, check your clutch fluid.
I do not know for sure it may have been _____________ _________________ or _______________ _________________ we may never know for sure.
your clutch may be going bad
This may be due to a faulty clutch. If the vehicle has over 70K on the clutch it is reccomended that it be replaced. If the clutch "slips" or takes a min before it finally engages then i would reccomed replacing the clutch. Make sure to change the Release Bearing and the pilot bearing as well this may also contribute to the problem.
Look all around the clutch pedal to make sure there are no loose wires being rubbed when the clutch is being engaged. If an important wire is being grated on by the clutch, it may be grounding it out, causing your jeep to shut down. I have seen that happen, so that may, or may not be your problem. Good luck.
check oil level in your hydraulic clutch if you have a hydraulic clutch. If not and it is a cable clutch check and make sure your clutch is adjusted properly. It may not be disengaging when you pull the clutch lever.
