check your relay for the cooling fan and fuelpump
Pump, fuse, or fuel pump relay.
Need to replace fuel pump relay.
No, there is no direct connection.
yes, there should be power if key is on
in the event of a collision the fuel pump is turned off
pump relay probably stuck
Fuel pump will not run and engine will not start.
When the ignition is first turned on you should hear the pump start up. If you do then the pump is getting power. There is a port on the fuel rail where you can put a gauge to see if the pump is putting out pressure.
near the distrubutor check fuel pump relay and fuses
For 2 or 3 seconds you will hear the fuel pump run , before starting the engine , when the ignition key is turned to the on / run position
Does it turn over? Check for fuel and spark--could be bad fuel pump or bad ignition coil
No the distributor has nothing to do with it. When the ignition is turned on a relay will close and provide power to the fuel pump which is protected by a fuse.
