it has probably been dropped or in a fight with another guiena pig.
otherwise it might have had a stroke through fright and hd got it that way

Sounds like maybe it was a spinal cord injury since it's legs were dragging. He may have fallen, or been stepped on. But either way, if it was in fact an injury to the spinal cord, there really isn't anything you can do for that. : ( Except be responsible and take the animal to a vet.
