- Be thankful that your parents care enough to be protective as far as you are concerned. Many house parties that young people have get out of control quickly and often times there is alcohol or drugs at these parties. A young woman could get into a lot of trouble at a party whether she has been drinking or doing drugs as there is always some unsavory male characters lurking around to try and take advantage of a young girl. You should not be going to any party that is not adult supervised. Ask your parents to phone the parents of the person that wants to have the party and if the parents are going to be somewhere in the house during the party then perhaps your parents will allow you to go. If they want to drive you to the party; set a time for you to be home and pick you up then accept their offer without argument and, in time they will feel more relaxed about you going to parties. If the friend that has asked you to the party is secretly having the party while their parents are away then you should not go.
