I had the same problem on my 2002 Chevy trailblazer. I took it in to the dealeship and complained enough( b/c this problem happend when the car was still under warranty)and they fixed it even though it was out of warranty.
The knob that adjusts the driver side mirror also adjusts the passenger side mirror. Simply turn the knob to the right to adjust the passenger side, and turn to the left to adjust the driver side. Leaving the knob in the middle, neutral position will keep the mirrors from changing if the knob is hit.
On the driver side mirror adjust turn the adjust knob clockwise and that will allow you to adjust the driver side mirror. Turn the adjust knob back counterclockwise for the driver side mirroradjust
If you have a cheap camaro YOU ADJUST IT WITH YOUR HANDS if you have a side control on the drivers door where you can switch from L to R side of the mirror then you set!!!

I don't know about the 2003, but I recently bought a 2006. When the power mirror adjustment button is selected to make the driver's side mirror active - that is, to adjust that mirror - the passenger's side mirror will rotate down when you shift into reverse. If the adjustment button is selected to the passenger's side, the mirror will remain stationary when you shift into reverse.
i had to adjust the mirror.
move the electric mirror side adjuster to the central or opposite side position. i.e. I think it dips when left in the adjust o/s mirror position then move it to the n/s mirror.
Remove the inside door panel of your 1993 Chevrolet Lumina. Remove the passenger mirror wiring harness. Remove the passenger mirror retaining bolts. Reverse the process to install the new passenger mirror.
I replaced the drivers side mirror. On my car the drivers mirror was remote adjust and the passenger side was not. Open the door and look at it right above the mirror. There should be two screws. On the inside of the door there is a third screw going through the plastic trim panel. With these screws removed the mirror should pop out. It's been a while since I replaced my mirror. You may have to take that plastic panel off to finish removing the mirror. If it is a remote mirror you will have to take off that panel.
It is you will adjust the mirror to get more light onto the specimen :)
