If the car has an alarm system or remote locking (Key fob) the locking control box is behind the side trim in the (UK) passenger footwell, if there is no alarm there is no relay box the system works off the door being locked and it sends a lock command to the other door
There is a module behind the carpet..drivers side next to where your right foot goes. Top plug is alarm, pull this out to disable.....Be aware this is also linked to the remote central locking so doors may have to be locked manually......Hope this helps There is a module behind the carpet..drivers side next to where your right foot goes. An alarm remote is a remote control for an alarm system. A remote alarm is an alarm that rings somewhere far away from whatever set off the alarm.
2nd Drivers door motor will need to be added in addition two relays that will be controlled from lock-unlock pulse from alarm module or after market module. Relays also feed power to door motor.
On your keyless entry remote hold down the panic button and trunk button at the same time till the remote light flashes. Then the "beep beep" of the alarm will sound when locking and unlocking your car.
some car alarms have a backup battery in them. thses batteries if worn out can stop the alarm working.also sometimes the battery in the remote needs replacing to work
one of two reasons, someone is messing with you or you have a short (i.e. a wire that's split and arcs) in the wiring on your locking system.
if locking the car with the key, not with the remote, then yo ucan lock the car and disengage the alarm by turning the key to the left once to lock the car then a second time to disable the alarm.
Yes you can put an alarm on a car with no power locks, you can even buy central locking system that you can fit to a car with no power locking system that will connect up to the alarm system. Danny from Bee Mech Mobile Mechanics Find me at www.beemech.com.au
I had a problem too when I removed the battery from my Mentor's remote . Do the following ,sit inside the car , remove the remote battery , wait for 1 minute , replace the remote battery when doing so you will see that the remote light is on ! If the light is not on try again ! Now press and hold the lock button on the remote until you hesar the doors lock . Your remote is now programed .
If you mean for stopping the alarm after it has gone off, locking the doors (either by press the lock button on the remote or putting the key in the driver's side door and turning to the lock position) accomplishes that.
