Look for a loose or corroded battery cable. The problem may also be a faulty starter solenoid/relay switch - you might want to have it checked out.
I would unhook the BATTERY and then Check the starter wires, Clean and tighten the wires on the starter and make sure there not touching anything that would make them short out / spark. That should fix your problem.
It will probably be your starter motor Starter is out!
bad solenoid in the starter or insufficient voltage to the starter
You should check the battery if it is good. Try checking to see if the power is getting to the starter when you push the button if not it might be a falty relay .If power is getting to the starter (12 volt . If less check power going into your relay ) starter may need to be replaced or repared.
It sounds like you need to get your starter motor, repaired, reconditioned or replaced. I had this problem a few months ago, but since getting it reconditioned, it's working perfectly again !
You have a bad starter solenoid or for some reason starter is still not getting enough current-which could be the bat or connections are corroded etc. Check bat voltage and connections (all) to starter.
sounds like the starter solenoid, you will have to replace the starter
The starter is located just behind the top end of the engine. I have a '99 king quad. Mine solenoid clicks too. I thought it was a loose wire because sometimes it would turn over but I took it in and was told i need a new stARter. they run about $75.
sounds like your in the market for a starter.
if the battery and battery conections are good, then you need to replace the starter motor
get a new battery Check the battery if it is OK. Then check solenoid to see if it is engaging .Check if the power is getting to the starter if power is at starter the starter may have bad brushes or something is binding the starter ( dirt ,bad bearings, broken magnets or burnt wires ). Starter spins the drive gear is probably in need of replacement.
Weak battery or poor connection - battery to starter. Possible bad starter.
