There is a bit of information missing here. If your problem is that your new iPod will not accept songs, but only when your sister is able to drag the songs on there, then it is that you are not importing the songs onto your iPod right.
See if your public library bought a copy or buy one on Amazon.

Never talk to them when your sister keep copy you and take her stuff alway that she is sleeping or going to the bedroom.
There are many free software options for this. One of the oldest and most reliable is called SharePod. Google it for a copy.

because that's how the iTunes safety system works its just so that you don't copy the songs for other people they only work on computers which you have authorised with your account or you can burn them onto CDs
you can copy but not cut the songs, then you can have them both on your mp3 player and your computer. my mp3 player can store more than 500 songs and it is quite nice look. i bought it on shoppingkool.com, really cool.
