Pack Mattresses and Bed Frames
Mattresses and bed frames are huge and heavy. They're cumbersome and dangerous to move. It can be difficult and troublesome to go into your house and move a mattress from one room into a truck and into another room in another house. It's even more complicated when you have a bed frame too.
What Materials Are NeededBefore you get started, you'll need a few materials. You'll need a plastic mattress bag. This will be used to wrap around the mattress. You'll need a mattress box, moving blankets, small plastic bags, packing tape, and a permanent marker. You'll also need two people because it is hard to do with one person, almost impossible. First, remove all bedding from the mattress. Place the mattress into a plastic mattress wrap and place that into a mattress box. This will help keep the mattress from getting dirty or damaged. Seal the whole thing shut with tap. Label the contents of the box and the room destination. You won't want to forget this when you get to the new house. There might be four mattresses, and this can get confusing. Remove each piece and set it aside when you get to the new house. Set aside larger pieces like side beams and mattress support frames and bundle tim up with tape. Then, assemble the bed. Next, put the mattress on. Now you should be an expert in packing a mattress.
