U.S. Career Institute (USCI) opened in 1981, in Fort Collins, Colorado. The institute was established by Pamela Weston, who’s goals was to offer a step-by-step training program for individuals seeking to enroll in a distance learning program from home and/or office. Weston’s employment as a legal transcriber paved the way of the idea to offer a study course for medical transcription and the institute grew from there.

USCI offers students certificate and degreed programs in the health care, legal, general studies and work from home fields through distance learning. The advantage of distance learning is allowing the student to work at their own pace and knowing that student support is either an email or phone call away. One key to distance learning is obtaining the discipline to create deadlines for the student, which is an attribute when seeking employment.

The cost for tuition varies according to the program the student chooses to enroll in. USCI does offer financing options to students with minimal down payments and payments as low as $49 per month. The advantage of the tuition program is the program fees are all-inclusive and no additional monies are required for books or graduation. Another perk USCI offers is the graduation resources which aids in helping the student with resumes, interviewing techniques and searching for employment.

The Accrediting Commission of the Distance Learning and Training Council and the State of Colorado Department of Higher Education accredits USCI. The Veteran Benefits approved USCI as a recipient to military students, and USCI is a member of the Colorado Private School Association.

U.S. Career Institute, one of the country’s leading distance-learning institutions, was formed in 1981. At that time, Founder Pamela Weston was a legal transcriptionist (turned educator) who was credited with creating a detailed system used to train other transcriptionists. This system morphed into U.S. Career Institute’s first course.

Since that time, U.S. Career Institute has helped train thousands of people for new careers. Backed by an esteemed faculty with almost seventy-five years of education experience behind them, U.S. Career Institute has earned accreditations by the Accrediting Commission of the Distance Education and Training Council, The Better Business Bureau, The State of Colorado Department of Higher Education and is a member of the Colorado Private School Association and the Colorado Association of Career Colleges and Schools.

U.S. Career Institute offers Associate Degrees in careers such as Accounting, Business Management, Human Resources and Marketing. These courses are self-paced and some students are able to graduate in as little as 16 months. However, the pace is completely up to the student.

Additionally, Certificate Programs in over 20 fields are available and can be completed in as few as four months. Again, the students decide how fast (or how slowly) they want to proceed.

24/7 student support is available through email, and toll-free phone/fax. Students can contact U.S. Career Institute with questions from coursework, to registration or financial aid. Their award-winning faculty and support staff is always there to answer any questions or concerns.

Upon graduation, U.S. Career Institute offers career support. Their team of counselors will work with students on their resumes and interviewing skills to help them land the jobs they worked so hard for.

While some distance-learning institutes are known for hidden fees, U.S. Career Institute prides themselves in affordable, clear and concise pricing, a plethora of payment options and even offers a risk-free guarantee. If a student changes their mind and withdraw within seven days, a FULL refund will be issued.
