To gain access 1) Remove upper kick panels on both sides. 2) Remove dash trim that goes around the radio, HVAC controls and instrument cluster. 3) Remove rear vent duct from the heater box. (2 screws) 4) Remove harness connector from right side of heater box. (2 screws) 5) From under the car, remove the 90 degree rubber elbow from the firewall just below where the heater hoses go through. 6) Remove the lower cover from the heater box. (3 screws on each side, 2 near the firewall) 7) The heater core assembly will drop down giving access to the expansion valve.
