To program a key for a 2000 Lincoln Navigator, you'll need the original key and a new unprogrammed key. Insert the original key into the ignition and turn it to the "On" position without starting the engine, then turn it back to "Off." Repeat this process eight times, ending with the key in the "On" position; the locks will cycle to indicate programming mode. Now, within 20 seconds, insert the new key and turn it to the "On" position for a few seconds to complete the programming.

First off did you have a new key made at an auto parts center or the dealer? If the answer is an auto center such as wal-mart that key is no good you need to go with the dealer, their blank will have a chip and they will program it there for you. But you know that you will have to leave so cash behind for the programing good luck.
as a ford tech i can say that yes! but it can only be done to your keyless entry pad and at time of key reprogram you will need two keys for this process to be performed ask your ford or Lincoln service advisor for info he can help!!
how do i program keyless remote for 2000 Buick LeSabre
Yes, you can. Actually you don`t program the key. Key remains unchanged, you just program the car to accept this particular key.
If the battery is dead, you can unlock your 2012 Lincoln Navigator using the key fob's physical key. Look for a small slot on the driver's side door handle to insert the key and unlock the door manually. Once inside, you can jump-start the battery using jumper cables and another vehicle or a portable jump starter. If the key fob is also unresponsive, the physical key will still work to unlock the door.
